NAIDOC String and Bracelet Weaving Workshop

Our Youth Project Worker, Daisy, and Social Work Student, Taylah, attended a NAIDOC week event today at Mt Coot-tha Botanical Gardens. Daisy and Taylah celebrated the history and culture of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples through learning from the facilitator @Peta Deacon, the ins, and outs of making string from natural fibres and bracelet weaving made from raffia palm material. Picabeen would like to thank Peta and the Mt Coot-tha Botanical Gardens team for the valuable knowledge and guidance.

Daisy and Taylah thoroughly enjoyed the educational NAIDOC Week Crafts and Games activity.
