Everyday English Classes
English classes at Picabeen welcome people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. The classes can help you develop English speaking skills for everyday life in Australia. The classes with our volunteer tutors are friendly, informal and free.
There are 2 classes each week:
Tuesday Class – 9:30 to 11:30 am. For beginner and intermediate English learners. At Picabeen Community Centre.
Friday Class – 9.30 am – 11.30 am. Conversational English for intermediate and advanced English learners. At Picabeen Community Centre. And also online via Microsoft Teams – please contact the Centre for the online meeting link
Join us for our playgroup on Monday at Picabeen, 9.30 am to 11.30 am- Parents, grandparents and caregivers are welcome! We have arts and crafts, ride on toys, music and stories, water and sand play. A great way to introduce children into social interactions while letting the parents socialise as well. Gold Coin donation appreciated to assist with the purchase of new materials.
Connect with the Community and meet new friends at Picabeen Community Centre every Tuesday from 12 noon to 1pm
Beat the boredom- join in a morning of board games at Picabeen Community Centre – all ages welcome – 10am to 12 noon on Thursday mornings – Snacks and drinks provided
Drop in between 9.30 and 11.30 am on Fridays mornings for a cuppa and bring some craft along if you wish
